37:0 Յաղագս անխառն եւ ողջիկ
յանձնարարութեան անձին,
առ ստանալոյ զազատութիւն սրտի:
| 37:0 PURE AND ENTIRE RESIGNATION OF SELF TO OBTAIN FREEDOM OF HEART:
| 37:1 Որդեակ, թո՛ղ զքեզ, եւ գտցես զիս: Կա՛ց առանց ինչ խտրանաց եւ սեպհականութեան, եւ շահեսցիս միշտ: Զի յաւելցին քեզ առաւել եւս շնորհք, վաղվաղակի իբրեւ յիս յանձն լիցիս եւ ոչ նահանջեսցիս:
| 37:1 MY CHILD, renounce self and you shall find Me. Give up your own self- will, your possessions, and you shall always gain. For once you resign yourself irrevocably, greater grace will be given you:
| 37:2 Տէր, ե՞րբ յանձն եղեց ‘ի քեզ, եւ յո՞րս թողից զիս:
| 37:2 How often, Lord, shall I resign myself? And in what shall I forsake myself:
| 37:3 Միշտ եւ յամենայն ժամ, եթէ ‘ի փոքունս եւ եթէ ‘ի մեծամեծս: չթողում ինչ ‘ի զատ. այլ յամենայնի կամիմ լինել քեզ մերկիկ: Ապա թէ ոչ՝ զիա՞րդ իմ լինիցիս, եւ ես քոյ, եթէ չլինիս յամենայն կամաց քոց ներքոյ եւ արտաքոյ հրաժարեալ: Որչափ վաղագոյն զայդ առնես, լաւ եւս լիցիս. եւ որչափ լիագոյն եւ անխառն, այնչափ առաւել ինձ հաճոյասցիս, եւ առաւել եւս օգտեսցիս:
| 37:3 Always, at every hour, in small matters as well as great -- I except nothing. In all things I wish you to be stripped of self. How otherwise can you be mine or I yours unless you be despoiled of your own will both inwardly and outwardly? The sooner you do this the better it will be for you, and the more fully and sincerely you do it the more you will please Me and the greater gain you will merit:
| 37:4 Են՝ որք յիս յանձն լինին, բայց եւ թողուն ինչ անձանց պահեստ. զի ոչ լիով յԱստուած ապաւինին, վասն այնորիկ անձանց հոգատարութեան խնամ ունին: Եւ են եւս՝ որք զառաջինն զամենայն մատուցանեն, բայց ‘ի բաղխել փորձութեան՝ առ իւրեանցն դարձ առնեն. վասն այսորիկ ոչինչ յառաջադէմ լինին յառաքինութիւնս: Այսպիսիք ‘ի ճշմարիտ ազատութիւն մաքուր սրտի, եւ ‘ի շնորհս իմոյ բերկրական ընտանութեան ոչ ժամանեն, թէ ոչ նախ առնեն ողջիկ յանձնարարութիւն եւ անձանց զօրհանապազ զենումն. առանց որոյ չլինի խանդաղակաթ միաւորութիւն:
| 37:4 Some there are who resign themselves, but with certain reservation; they do not trust fully in God and therefore they try to provide for themselves. Others, again, at first offer all, but afterward are assailed by temptation and return to what they have renounced, thereby making no progress in virtue. These will not reach the true liberty of a pure heart nor the grace of happy friendship with Me unless they first make a full resignation and a daily sacrifice of themselves. Without this no fruitful union lasts nor will last:
| 37:5 Ասացի քեզ բազում անգամ եւ արդ դարձեալ ասեմ. թող զքեզ, յանձն արա զքեզ, եւ վայելեսցես ‘ի բազում խաղաղութեան սրտի: Տուր զամենայն վասն ամենայնի, մի՛ ինչ խնդրեր, մի՛ ինչ ‘ի բաց պահանջեր: Կաց յիս անդրդուելի, եւ ես եղէց քո. ազատ լիցիս ‘ի սրտի, եւ խաւար զքեզ ոչ ծածկեսցէ: Այսմ փոյթ կալ, վասն այսր կաց յաղօթս, եւ այսմ ցանկա, ամենայնիւ մերկանալ քեզ ‘ի քոյոցդ, եւ մերկոյն Յիսուսի մերկ զհետ երթալ. անձին մեռանել, եւ յիս յաւիտեան կենդանի լինել: Յայնժամ ‘ի բաց փարատեսցին ամենայն սնոտի ցնորք, անօրէն յոյզք, եւ աւելորդ հոգք: Յայնժամ ‘ի բաց լիցի եւ տարապայման երկիւղ, եւ մեռցի անկարգ սէր:
| 37:5 I have said to you very often, and now I say again: forsake yourself, renounce yourself and you shall enjoy great inward peace. Give all for all. Ask nothing, demand nothing in return. Trust purely and without hesitation in Me, and you shall possess Me. You will be free of heart and darkness will not overwhelm you. Strive for this, pray for this, desire this -- to be stripped of all selfishness and naked to follow the naked Jesus, to die to self and live forever for Me. Then all vain imaginations, all wicked disturbances and superfluous cares will vanish. Then also immoderate fear will leave you and inordinate love will die:
