11:1 Երթան դէպ յԱւազանն ասելով. ՇԱՐԱԿԱՆ. Արեգակն արդարութեան Քրիստոս ծագեալ յաշխարհ հալածեաց զխաւարն անգիտութեան, եւ յետ մահու եւ յարութեան համբարձաւ առ Հայր յորմէ ծագեաց. որ երկրպագի յերկնաւորաց եւ յերկրաւորաց ընդ Հօր եւ Սուրբ Հոգւոյն. վասն որոյ եւ մեք երկիր պագանեմք Հօր հոգւով եւ ճշմարտութեամբ:
| 11:1 The Priest and the godfather holding the child, will walk towards the baptismal Font, singing: HYMN. Christ, the sun of righteousness, rising over the world banished the darkness of ignorance; and after his death and resurrection ascended to the Father from whom He was begotten. Together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, He is worshipped by the heavenly and the terrestrial; and consequently we adore the Father in spirit and in truth:

| 11:2 Priest. Pouring water into the Font crosswise, the priest shall say: Alleluia, Alleluia:
| 11:3 Ձայն Տեառն ի վերայ ջուրց, եւ Աստուած փառաց որոտաց. եւ Տէր ինքն ի վերայ ջուրց բազմաց։ Ձայն Տեառն զօրութեամբ, եւ ձայն Տեառն մեծ վայելչութեամբ։ {(Սաղմ. ԻԸ։3–4)} Պօղոսի առաքելոյն ի Գաղատացւոց թղթոյն է ընթերցուածս։ {(Գ. 24-29)} Ապա օրէնքն դաստիարակ եղեն մեզ ի Քրիստոս Յիսուս, զի ի հաւատոցն արդարասցուք։ Այլ իբրեւ եկին հաւատքն, ոչ եւս ընդ դաստիարակաւ եմք. քանզի ամենեքին որդիք Աստուծոյ էք՝ հաւատովք ի Յիսուս Քրիստոս։ Որք միանգամ ի Քրիստոս մկրտեցարուք՝ զՔրիստոս զգեցեալ էք. չիք խտիր, ոչ հրէի եւ ոչ հեթանոսի, ոչ ծառայի եւ ոչ ազատի, ոչ արուի եւ ոչ իգի. զի ամենեքեան դուք մի էք ի Քրիստոս Յիսուս։ Ապա եթէ դուք Քրիստոսի էք, ուրեմն Աբրահամու զաւակ էք՝ ըստ աւետեացն ժառանգք:
| 11:3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The reading is from the Epistle of St. Paul to the Galatians. So that the law was our custodian until Christ came, that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a custodian; for in Christ Jesus you are sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise:

| 11:13 Քահանայ. Առ Տէրն մեր Յիսուս Քրիստոս։ Եւ էր այր մի ի փարիսեցւոց անտի Նիկոդեմոս անուն նորա, իշխան հրէից։ Սա եկն առ Յիսուս ի գիշերի եւ ասէ ցնա. Ռա՛բբի, գիտեմք եթէ յԱստուծոյ եկեալ ես վարդապետ. զի ոչ ոք կարէ զայդ նշանս առնել՝ զոր Դուդ առնես, եթէ ոչ Աստուած իցէ ընդ նմա։ Պատասխանի ետ Յիսուս եւ ասէ ցնա. Ամէն ամէն ասեմ քեզ, եթէ ոչ ոք ծնցի վերստին, ոչ կարէ տեսանել զարքայութիւն Աստուծոյ։ Ասէ ցնա Նիկոդեմոս. զիա՞րդ կարէ մարդ ծնանիլ՝ որ ծերն իցէ. միթէ մա՞րթ ինչ իցէ անդրէն յորովայն մօր իւրոյ կրկին մտանել եւ ծնանիլ։ Պատասխանի ետ Յիսուս եւ ասէ. Ամէն ամէն ասեմ քեզ, եթէ ոչ ոք ծնցի ի ջրոյ եւ ի հոգւոյ, ոչ կարէ մտանել յարքայութիւն Աստուծոյ. զի ծնեալն ի մարմնոյ՝ մարմին է, եւ ծնեալն ի Հոգւոյ՝ հոգի է։ Դու մի՛ զարմանար, թէ ասացի քեզ, պարտ է ձեզ ծնանել վերստին, զի հողմ՝ ուր կամի շնչէ, եւ զձայն նորա լսես, այլ ոչ գիտես ուստի գայ կամ յո՛ երթայ. սոյնպէս եւ ամենայն ծնեալն ի Հոգւոյն:
| 11:13 Priest: To our Lord Jesus Christ. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him”. Jesus answered him, “ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “ How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘ You must be born anew’. The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know from where it comes or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit:
