Priest: Blessed be our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Դպիրքն. Ի կարդալ իմում լուար ինձ. Աստուած. ըստ արդարութեան. ի նեղութեան ինձ անդորր արարեր. ողորմեա՛ ինձ եւ լո՛ւր աղօթից իմոց: Ո՛րդիք մարդկան. մինչեւ յե՞րբ էք խստասիրտք. ընդէ՞ր սիրէք զնանրութիւն. եւ խնդրէք զստութիւն: Ծաներո՛ւք` զի սքանչելիս արար Տէր սրբոյ իւրում. Choir: Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart. More than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. | 8:6 Անձն իմ յոյժ խռովեցաւ. եւ դու. Տէր. մինչեւ յե՞րբ: Դա՛րձ. Տէ՛ր. եւ փրկեա՛ զանձն իմ. կեցո՛ զիս. Տէ՛ր. ըստ ողորմութեան քում: Զի ո՛չ ոք է. որ ի մահու յիշէ զքեզ. կամ ի դժոխս խոստովան առնիցի առ քեզ: Վաստակեցայ ես ի հեծութեան իմում. լուացի զամենայն գիշեր զմահիճս իմ. եւ արտասուօք իմովք զանկողինս թացի: Խռովեցաւ ի սրտմտութենէ ակն իմ. եւ մաշեցայ ես ի վերայ ամենայն թշնամեաց իմոց: Ի բաց կացէ՛ք յինէն ամենեքեան. ոյք գործէք զանօրէնութիւն: Լուաւ Տէր ձայնի լալոյ իմոյ. լուաւ Տէր աղօթից իմոց. եւ Տէր զխնդրուածս իմ ընկալաւ: Ամաչեսցեն եւ խռովեսցին յոյժ ամենայն թշնամիք իմ. դարձցին յետս եւ ամաչեսցեն յոյժ վաղվաղակի եւ խռովեսցին: Մինչեւ ե՞րբ. Տէ՛ր. մոռանաս զիս իսպառ. մինչեւ ե՞րբ դարձուցանես զերեսս քո յինէն: Մինչեւ ե՞րբ դնեմ զխորհուրդս յանձն իմ. եւ ցաւք սրտի իմոյ զաւուրս: Մինչեւ ե՞րբ բարձրանայ թշնամին ի վերայ իմ. նայեա՛ց եւ լո՛ւր ինձ Տէր Աստուած իմ: Լո՛յս տո՛ւր. | 8:6 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long. Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercies’ sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks. I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. For the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? forever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me. How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me. Consider and hear me, O LORD my God. Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death:

Տէր. յուսացայ. ցնծացաւ սիրտ իմ ի փրկութեան քում. օրհնեցից զՏէր` զբարերարդ իմ: Պահեա՛ զիս Աստուած իմ. զի ես ի քեզ յուսացայ. ասացի Տեառն` Տէր իմ ես դու եւ բարիք իմ ինձ ի քէն են: Սրբոց քոց` որք են յերկրի քում. սքանչելի արարեր զամենայն կամս իմ ի նոսա: Յաճախեսցին հիւանդութիւնք նոցա. յետ այսորիկ ապա վաղվաղեսցին: Ո՛չ ժողովեցայց ի ժողովս նոցա յարեանց եւ ո՛չ յիշեցից զանուանս նոցա` ի շրթունս իմ: Տէ՛ր. բաժին ժառանգութեան իմոյ եւ բաժակի իմոյ դու ես. որ այսրէն դարձուցանես զժառանգութիւն իմ յիս: Վիճակք ելին ինձ ընդ ընտիրս. եւ ժառանգութիւն իմ հաճոյ եղեւ ինձ: Օրհնեցից զՏէր. որ իմաստուն արար զիս. մինչ ի գիշերի եւս խրատեցին զիս երիկամունք իմ: Յառաջագոյն տեսանէի զՏէր առաջի իմ յամենայն ժամ. զի է ընդ աջմէ իմմէ` զի մի սասանեցայց: Վասն այսորիկ ուրախ եղեւ սիրտ իմ եւ ցնծացաւ լեզու իմ. եւս եւ մարմին իմ բնակեսցի յուսով: Զի ո՛չ թողցես զանձն իմ ի դժոխս. եւ ո՛չ տացես սրբոյ քում տեսանել զապականութիւն: Ցուցեր ինձ զճանապարհս քո կենաց. լցուցեր զիս ուրախութեամբ երեսաց քոց ի քաղցրութենէ վայելչութեան աջոյ քո մինչ իսպառ: Լո՛ւր. Տէր. արդարութեան եւ նայեա՛ ի խնդրուածս իմ. ո՛ւնկն դիր աղօթից իմոց` զի ո՛չ շրթամբք նենգաւորօք:
| 8:7 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him. and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation, But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I shall praise you Lord, my benefactor. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god. Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips:
| 8:8 Յերեսաց քոց իրաւունք ինձ ելցեն. եւ աչք իմ տեսցեն զուղղութիւն: Փորձեցեր զսիրտ իմ. եւ քննեցեր ի գիշերի. փորձեցեր զիս եւ ո՛չ գտաւ յիս անիրաւութիւն: Մի՛ խօսեսցի բերան իմ զգործս որդւոց մարդկան. վասն բանից շրթանց քոց ես պահեցից զճանապարհս խիստս: Հաստատեա՛ զշաւիղս իմ ի ճանապարհի քում. զի մի՛ գայթակղեսցին գնացք իմ: Ես առ քեզ. Տէր. կարդացի` զի լուար ինձ. Աստուած. խոնարհեցո՛ առ իս զունկն քո եւ լուր բանից իմոց: Սքանչելի արարեր զողորմութիւնս քո. ո՛ փրկես զայնոսիկ. ոյք յուսացեալ են ի քեզ. յայնցանէ ոյք հակառակ կան աջոյ քո: Պահեա՛ զիս որպէս բիբ ական. ընդ հովանեաւ թեւոց քոց ծածկեսցես զիս յերեսաց ամբարշտաց` ոյք տառապեցուցին զիս: Թշնամիք զանձն իմ պաշարեցին. եւ ի ճարպս իւրեանց արգելին. եւ բերանք նոցա խօսեցան զամբարտաւանութիւն: Մերժեցին զիս եւ այժմ դարձեալ պատեցան զինեւ. ուշ եդին խոնարհեցուցանել զիս յերկիր: Համարեցան ինձ որպէս առիւծ. զի պատրաստ է յորս. եւ որպէս կորիւն առիւծու զի նստի դարանեալ: Արի՛ Տէր ժամանեա՛ նոցա եւ խափանեա՛ զնոսա. փրկեա՛ զանձն իմ յամբարշտաց. ի սրոյ եւ ի ձեռաց թշնամւոյն: Տէր. կորո՛ զնոսա յերկրէ. բաժանեա՛. եւ խափանեա՛ զնոսա ի կեանս իւրեանց: Գաղտնեօք քովք լցան որովայնք նոցա. յագեցան կերակրովք` եւ թողին զմնացուածս տղայոց իւրեանց:
| 8:8 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer. Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shew thy marvelous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me. from my deadly enemies, who compass me about, They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly. They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth. Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword: Lord, wipe them from the earth. Separate them and end their lives. From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes:
| 8:9 Ես արդարութեամբ երեւեցայց երեսաց քոց. եւ յագեցայց յերեւիլ փառաց քոց: Դա՛տ արա՛ ինձ. Աստուած. եւ իրա՛ւ արա՛ ինձ ի դատաստանի իմում: Յազգէ` որ ո՛չ է սուրբ. ի մարդոյ մեղաւորէ. նենգաւորէ փրկեա՛ զիս: Դու. Աստուած. հզօրիչ իմ ես. ընդէ՞ր մոռացար զիս. ընդէ՞ր տրտում գնամ ես ի նեղել թշնամւոյ իմոյ: Առաքեա՛ Տէր զլոյս քո եւ զճշմարտութիւն քո. զի առաջնորդեսցեն ինձ եւ հանցեն զիս ի լեառն սուրբ եւ ի յարկս քո: Մտից առաջի սեղանոյ Աստուծոյ առ Աստուած. որ ուրախ առնէ զմանկութիւն իմ: Խոստովան եղէց քեզ օրհնութեամբ. Աստուած. Աստուած իմ: Ա՛րդ` ընդէ՞ր տրտում ես անձն իմ. կամ ընդէ՞ր խռովես զիս. յուսա՛ առ Աստուած. խոստովանեա՛ նմա. փրկիչ երեսաց իմոց Աստուած է: Աստուած. յօգնել ինձ նայեա՛ց. եւ Տէր. յընկերել ինձ փութա՛: Ամաչեսցեն եւ յամօթ լիցին. ոյք խնդրէին զանձն իմ. դարձցին յետս եւ ամաչեսցեն. ոյք խորհէին ինձ չար: Դարձցին առժամայն ամաչեցեալք. ոյք ասէին ինձ` վա՛շ. վա՛շ: Ցնծասցեն եւ ուրախ լիցին ի քեզ ամենեքեան ոյք խնդրեն զքեզ, Տէր. Ասասցեն յամենայն ժամ` մեծ է Աստուած. եւ ոյք սիրեն զփրկութիւնս քո: Ես աղքատ եւ տնանկ եմ. Աստուած. օգնեա՛ ինձ. օգնական եւ փրկիչ իմ ես դու. | 8:9 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy. O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy. Upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee. And let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying. Give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid, Shew me a token for good. Choir: Grant us, O Lord, this night your heavenly peace and protect us from the deceits of the enemy by the all victorious power of your holy cross. O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you. Incline your ear unto my cry. Let a guardian angel come to us from you, O Lord, and keep us safe at all times. Send us, O Lord, the power of the holy cross to keep us safe at all times. Make us worthy, O Lord, to spend this evening in peace and pass without temptation. Make us worthy, O Lord, to pass this night in peace, keeping us without sin. The Lord God is with us. Know this, O you peoples and you will be subdued, for God is with us. And hear this from the one part of the world to the uttermost part thereof that God is with us. And all of you that have become powerful shall be subdued, for God is with us. For though you may again be strong, yet will you again be vanquished, for God is with us. And the council which you take the Lord will bring to naught, for God is with us. And the word which you speak shall not stand, for God is with us. And neither do we fear your alarm, nor are we in dread thereof, for God is with us. And our Lord God we shall glorify and he will be our fear, for God is with us. And we shall trust in him and he will become our sanctification, for God is with us:

| 8:11 Choir: And we shall put our trust in him and he will be our salvation, for God is with us. And behold I and my children whom God gave me shall trust in him, for God is with us. The people who dwelt in darkness saw the great light, for God is with us. And all of you who dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death on you shall the light shine, for God is with us. And because unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, for God is with us. And whose authority is on his shoulders, for God is with us. Deacon: And again in peace let us beseech the Lord. Let us thank the Lord, who by his mercy has guided us in the works of the day and granted us all to arrive at the rest of this night. And let us always supplicate God, the lover of mankind, to guard us and preserve us through his mercy, and, leading us, make us reach to the repose of his goodness which Jesus Christ, the true God, promised to his beloved ones. May the almighty Lord save us and have mercy upon us:

Priest: O Beneficent Lord, who by your great mercy have prepared eternal rest for those who labor virtuously and have called to yourself with a sweet loving voice those that are heavy- laden and wearied with sin, promising them rest. Grant us also, O Lord, to pass this night in undisturbed peace and to us, who are laboring under the weight of sin, grant rest by your mercy and make us worthy of perpetual rest with all your saints. Choir: Look with love, O merciful Father, on the created works of your hand, and grant the camps of the angels to be guardians of our feeble persons. Deliver us from temptation, from the wandering demons of night, that by day and by night we may give you glory incessantly.
Choir: O ineffable offspring, Son and Word of the uncreate, everlasting Being, who made the day for work and the night for rest and sleep, grant that, while our bodily eyes sleep, we may be awake in spirit, that by day and by night we may give you glory incessantly.

Տէր. ուսո՛ ինձ զարդարութիւնս քո: Շրթամբք իմովք պատմեցից զամենայն իրաւունս բերանոյ քո: Ի ճանապարհս վկայութեանց քոց զուարճացայ. որպէս յամենայնի ի մեծութեան: Ի պատուիրանս քո հոգացայ եւ զգուշացայ ի ճանապարհս քո: Զիրաւունս քո խօսեցայ. եւ ո՛չ մոռացայ զբանս քո: Հատո՛ ծառայի քում. զի կեցից. եւ պահեցից զբանս քո: Զարթո՛ զաչս իմ. եւ նայեցայց ի սքանչելիս օրինաց քոց: Պանդուխտ եմ ես յերկրի` մի՛ թաքուցաներ յինէն զպատուիրանս քո: Փափագեաց անձն իմ ի ցանկալ ինձ յիրաւունս քո յամենայն ժամ: Սաստեցեր ամբարտաւանից. անիծեալ` ոյք խոտորեցան ի պատուիրանաց քոց: Ի բա՛ց արա՛ յինէն զնախատինս եւ զարհամարհանս. զի զվկայութիւնս քո խնդրեցի: Քանզի նստան իշխանք եւ չարախօսէին զինէն. այլ ծառայ քո խորհէր յիրաւունս քո: Զի վկայութիւնք քո խօսք իմ էին. եւ խորհուրդք իմ արդարութիւն քո: Մերձեցաւ անձն իմ ի հող. Տէր. կեցո՛ զիս ըստ բանի քում: Զճանապարհս իմ պատմեցի քեզ. եւ լուար ինձ. ուսո ինձ զարդարութիւնս քո: Ի ճանապարհս արդարութեանց քոց իմաստո՛ւն արա՛ զիս. եւ քննեցից զսքանչելիս քո: Տքնեցաւ անձն իմ առ ի ձանձրանալ. հաստատեա՛ զիս ի բանս քո: Զճանապարհս մեղաց ի բաց արա՛ յինէն. եւ յօրէնս քո ողորմեաց ինձ: Զճանապարհս ճշմարտութեան ընտրեցի. եւ զիրաւունս քո ես ոչ մոռացայ: Մերձեցայ ես ի վկայութիւնս քո. Տէր. մի՛ յամօթ առներ զիս: Ի ճանապարհս պատուիրանաց քոց ընթացայ. զի անդորր արարեր սրտի իմոյ:
| 8:23 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies. Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid. I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end:
| 8:24 Օրէնսգէտ արա՛ զիս. Տէր. ի ճանապարհս իրաւանց քոց. եւ խնդրեցից զնա յամենայն ժամ: Իմաստո՛ւն արա՛ զիս. Տէր. եւ քննեցից զօրէնս քո. եւ պահեցից զնա բոլորով սրտիւ իմով: Առաջնորդեա՛ ինձ ի շաւիղս պատուիրանաց քոց. Տէր. զի ընդ նոսա հաճեցայ: Խոնարհեցո՛ զսիրտ իմ ի վկայութիւնս քո. Տէր. եւ մի՛ յագահութիւն: Դարձո՛ զաչս իմ. զի մի՛ տեսից զնանրութիւն. ի ճանապարհս քո կեցո՛ զիս: Հաստատեա՛ ծառայի քում զբան քո յերկիւղ քո: Հա՛ն յինէն զնախատինս. զոր եւ կարծեցի. զի դատաստանք քո քաղցր են: Ահա՛ ցանկացայ պատուիրանաց քոց. Տէր. յարդարութեան քում կեցո՛ զիս: Եկեսցէ ի վերայ իմ ողորմութիւն քո. Տէր. եւ փրկութիւն քո ըստ բանի քում: Տաց պատասխանի. ոյք նախատեն զիս բանիւք. զի ես ի բանս քո յուսացայ: Մի՛ ի բացեայ առներ ի բերանոյ իմմէ զբան ճշմարտութեան մինչեւ յոյժ. զի յիրաւունս քո յուսացայ: Պահեցի զօրէնս քո յամենայն ժամ. յաւիտեան եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից: Գնայի ես յանդորրու. զի զպատուիրանս քո խնդրեցի: Խօսէի զվկայութիւնս քո առաջի թագաւորաց եւ ո՛չ ամաչէի: Խորհէի ի պատուիրանս քո զոր սիրեցի:
| 8:24 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good. Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved:
| 8:25 Համբարձի զձեռս իմ պատուիրանս քո զոր սիրեցի. եւ խորհէի յարդարութեան քում: Յիշեա՛ զբան ծառայի քո. յոր եւ յուսացուցեր զիս: Սա՛ մխիթարեսցէ զիս ի խոնարհութեան իմում. զի բան քո կեցոյց զիս: Ամբարտաւանք անիրաւեցան յիս յոյժ. այլ յօրինաց քոց ես ո՛չ խոտորեցայ: Յիշեցի զիրաւունս քո յաւիտենից. Տէ՛ր. եւ մխիթարեցայ: Տրտմութիւն կալաւ զիս ի մեղաւորաց. եւ ոյք թողին զօրէնս քո: Գովելի են ինձ իրաւունք քո. ի տեղւոջ պանդխտութեան իմոյ: Յիշեցի ի գիշերի զանուն քո. Տէր. եւ պահեցի զօրէնս քո: Սա՛ եղեւ ինձ ճանապարհ ի կեանս. զի զարդարութիւնս քո խնդրեցի: (Աշակ. դաս.): Բաժին իմ ես դու. Տէր. ասացի պահել ինձ զօրէնս քո: Աղաչեցի զերեսս քո բոլորով սրտիւ իմով. ողորմեա՛ց ինձ ըստ բանի քում: Խորհեցայ ի ճանապարհս իմ. եւ դարձուցի զոտս իմ ի վկայութիւնս քո: Պատրաստեցայ եւ ո՛չ խռովեցայ. զի պահեցից պատուիրանս քո: Տոռունք մեղաց պատեցան զինեւ. այլ զօրէնս քո ես ո՛չ մոռացայ: Ի մէջ գիշերի յառնէի խոստովան լինիլ առ քեզ. վասն իրաւանց եւ արդարութեան:
| 8:25 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself. Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law. Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law. This I had, because I kept thy precepts. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words. I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word. I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law. At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments:
| 8:26 Հաղորդ էի ես ամենայն երկիւղածաց քոց. որոց պահեալ էին զպատուիրանս քո: Ողորմութեամբ Տեառն լի եղեւ երկիր. զարդարութիւնս քո ուսո՛ ինձ: Քաղցրութիւն արարեր ընդ ծառայի քում. Տէր. ըստ բանի քում: Զքաղցրութիւն. զխրատ. եւ զգիտութիւն ուսո՛ ինձ. զի ի պատուիրանս քո ես հաւատացի: Մինչչեւ խոնարհեալ էի ես` մեղայ. վասն այսորիկ զբան քո պահեցի յոյժ: Քաղցր ես դու. Տէր. եւ քաղցրութեամբ քով ուսո՛ ինձ զարդարութիւնս քո: Բազմացան յիս անիրաւութիւնք ամբարտաւանից. այլ ես բոլորով սրտիւ իմով քննեցի զպատուիրանս քո: Մածան որպէս կաթն սիրտք նոցա. այլ ես զօրէնս քո խօսեցայ: Բարի է ինձ. զի խոնարհ արարեր զիս. որպէս ուսայց զարդարութիւնս քո: Բարի է ինձ օրէնք բերանոյ քո` քան զհազարս ոսկւոյ եւ արծաթոյ: Ձեռք քո արարին եւ ստեղծին զիս. իմաստուն արա՛ զիս եւ ուսայց զպատուիրանս քո: Երկիւղածք քո տեսցեն զիս եւ ուրախ եղիցին. զի ես ի բանս քո յուսացայ: Ծանեալ. Տէ՛ր. զի արդարութեամբ են դատաստանք քո. յիրաւի՛ խոնարհեցուցեր զիս: Եղիցի ողորմութիւն քո ի մխիթարել զիս. ըստ բանի քում. զծառայս քո: Եկեսցեն յիս գթութիւնք քո եւ կեցից. զի օրէնք քո խօսք իմ էին:
| 8:26 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandment. They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word. I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight:
| 8:27 Ամաչեսցեն ամբարտաւանք. որք ի տարապարտուց անիրաւեցան յիս. այլ ես հոգացայ ի պատուիրանս քո: Խրատեցին զիս երկիւղածք քո. ոյք ճանաչեն զվկայութիւն քո: Եղիցի սիրտ իմ անբիծ յարդարութեան քում. զի մի՛ ամաչեցից: Կարօտացաւ անձն իմ ի փրկութիւնս քո. զի ես ի բանս քո յուսացայ: Սպասեցին աչք իմ ի բանի քում. Ասացի. ե՞րբ մխիթարեսցես զիս: Եղէ ես որպէս տիկ ի պարզի. զի զարդարութիւնս քո ես ո՛չ մոռացայ: Քանի՞ ինչ են աւուրք ծառայի քո. ե՞րբ արասցես ինձ իրաւունս ի հալածչաց իմոց: Պատմեցին ինձ անօրէնք զխորհուրդս. այլ ո՛չ որպէս զօրէնս քո: Ամենայն պատուիրանք քո ճշմարիտ են. ի նանիր հալածեցին զիս. օգնեա՛ ինձ: Փոքր մի եւս եւ կորուսանէին զիս յերկրի. այլ ես ո՛չ թողի զպատուիրանս քո: Ըստ ողորմութեան քում կեցո՛ զիս. եւ պահեցից զվկայութիւնս բերանոյ քո: Յաւիտեան. Տէ՛ր. բան քո կայ յերկինս. ազգէ մինչեւ յա՛զգ է ճշմարտութիւն քո: Հաստատեցեր զերկիր. եւ կայ:
| 8:27 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts. Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies. Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me. For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes. How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me. The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law. All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts. Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations. Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth:
| 8:28 Հրամանի քում մնայ տիւ. զի ամենեքեան ծառայք քո են: Եթէ ո՛չ օրէնք քո խօսք իմ էին. կանխաւ եւս արդեօք կորուսեալ էի ի խոնարհութեան իմում: Յաւիտեան ո՛չ մոռացայց զարդարութիւնս քո. զի նոքօք կեցուցեր զիս: Քո՛ եմ ես եւ կեցո՛ զիս. զի զարդարութիւնս քո խնդրեցի: Ինձ սպասեցին մեղաւորք ի կորուսանել. զի զվկայութիւնս քո ես ի միտ առի: Յամենայն կատարածի տեսի զվախճան. յոյժ անդորր էին ինձ պատուիրանք քո: Որպէս սիրեցի զօրէնս քո. զօրհանապազ խօսք իմ էին: Քան զթշնամիս իմ իմաստուն արարեր զիս ի պատուիրանս քո. զի յաւիտեան իմ էին: Քան զամենայն ուսուցիչս իմ իմաստուն եղէ. զի վկայութիւնք քո խօսք իմ էին: Քան զծերսն իմաստուն եղէ. զի զպատուիրանս քո քննեցի: Յամենայն ճանապարհաց չարաց արգելի զոտս իմ. որպէս զի պահեցից զբանս քո: Յիրաւանց քոյ ես ո՛չ խոտորեցայ. զի դու օրէնսգէտ արարեր զիս: Որպէս զի քաղցր են ի քիմս իմ բանք քո. քան զմեղր բերանոյ իմոյ: Ի պատուիրանաց քոց իմացեալ` ատեցի զամենայն ճանապարհս չարաց. զի դու օրէնսգէտ արարեր զիս:
| 8:28 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way:
| 8:29 Ճրագ են բանք քո ոտից իմոց. եւ լոյս տան շաւղաց իմոց: Երդուայ եւ հաստատեցի. զի պահեցից զամենայն իրաւունս արդարութեան քո: Խոնարհ եղէ մինչեւ յոյժ. Տէր. կեցո՛ զիս ըստ բանի քում: Ընդ կամս բերանոյ իմոյ հաճեա՛ց. Տէ՛ր. եւ զիրաւունս քո ուսո՛ ինձ: Անձն իմ ի ձեռս քո է յամենայն ժամ. եւ զօրէնս քո ես ո՛չ մոռացայ: Եդին ինձ մեղաւորք որոգայթ. ի պատուիրանաց քոց ես ո՛չ մոլորեցայ: Ժառանգեցի զվկայութիւնս քո յաւիտեան. զի ցնծութիւն է սրտի իմոյ: Խոնարհեցուցի զսիրտ իմ առնել զարդարութիւնս քո յաւիտեան` վասն հատուցման: Զանօրէնսն ատեցի. եւ զօրէնս քո սիրեցի: Օգնական եւ փրկիչ իմ ես դու. եւ ես ի բանս քո յուսացայ: Ի բա՛ց եղերո՛ւք յինէն. չա՛րք. եւ քննեցից զպատուիրանս Աստուծոյ իմոյ: Օգնեա՛ ինձ ըստ բանի քում. եւ կեցո՛ զիս. եւ մի՛ յամօթ առներ զիս ի յուսոյ իմմէ: Օգնեա՛ ինձ եւ ապրեցո՛ զիս. եւ խոնարհեցայց յիրաւունս քո յամենայն ժամ: Անարգեցեր զամենեսեան. որք ապստամբք եղեն յարդարութեանց քոց. զի անիրաւութեամբ էին խորհուրդք նոցա: Յանցաւորս համարեցայ զամենայն մեղաւորս երկրի. վասն այսորիկ սիրեցի զպատուիրանս քո:
| 8:29 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word. Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments. My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes always, even unto the end. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood. Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies:
| 8:30 Բեւեռեա՛ ընդ երկիւղ քո զմարմին իմ. զի ի դատաստանաց քոց երկեայց յոյժ: Արարի իրաւունս եւ արդարութիւն. մի՛ մատներ զիս ի ձեռս նեղչաց իմոց: Ընկա՛լ զծառայս քո ի բարի. զի մի՛ ամբարտաւանք զզուեսցեն զիս: Սպասեցին աչք իմ փրկութեան քում. Տէ՛ր. եւ բանից արդարութեան քո: Արա՛ ընդ ծառայի քում. Տէր. ըստ ողորմութեան քում. զարդարութիւնս քո ուսո՛ ինձ: Ծառայ քո եմ ես. իմաստո՛ւն արա զիս. եւ ծանեայց զվկայութիւնս քո: Ժամ է պաշտել զՏէր. խափանեցին զօրէնս քո: Վասն այսորիկ սիրեցի զպատուիրանս քո. քան զամենայն ոսկի եւ զտպազիոն: Ամենայն պատուիրանք քո յաջողեցան ինձ. զի ատեցի ես զճանապարհս չարաց: Սքանչելի են վկայութիւնք քո. վասն այսորիկ սիրեաց զնոսա անձն իմ: Յայտնութիւն բանից քոց լուսաւո՛ր է. եւ իմաստուն առնէ զտղայս: Զբերան իմ բացի. եւ առի զհոգի ի պատուիրանս քո փափագեաց անձն ի՛մ: Նայեա՛ց առ իս եւ ողորմեա՛ ինձ. ըստ իրաւունս սիրողաց անուան քում: Զճանապարհս իմ ուղիղ արա՛ ինձ. ըստ բանի քում. եւ մի՛ տիրեսցեն ինձ ամենայն մեղք: Փրկեա՛ զիս ի զրպարտութենէ մարդկան. եւ պահեցից զպատուիրանս քո: Երեւեցո՛ զերեսս քո ի ծառայս քո. եւ ուսո՛ ինձ զարդարութիւնս քո: Վտակք ջուրց իջին յաչաց իմոց. զի ո՛չ պահեցին զօրէնս քո:
| 8:30 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors. Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me. Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness. Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes. I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies. It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law. Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law:
| 8:31 Արդա՛ր ես դու. Տէ՛ր. եւ ուղիղ են դատաստանք քո: Պատուիրեցեր զարդարութիւն վկայութեանց քոց. Տէր. եւ ճշմարիտ են յոյժ: Մաշեաց զիս նախանձ քո. զի մոռացան զբանս քո թշնամիք իմ: Ընտրեալ է բան քո յոյժ. եւ ծառայ քո սիրեաց զսա: Մանուկ եմ ես եւ արհամարհեալ. եւ զարդարութիւնս քո ես ո՛չ մոռացայ: Արդարութիւն քո. արդարութիւն յաւիտենից. եւ օրէնք քո ճշմարիտ են: Նեղութիւնք եւ վիշտք գտին զիս. եւ պատուիրանք քո խօսք իմ էին: Արդարութեամբ են վկայութիւնք քո յաւիտեան. իմաստո՛ւն արա եւ կեցո՛ զիս: Կարդացի առ քեզ բոլորով սրտիւ իմով. լո՛ւր ինձ. Տէ՛ր. զարդարութիւնս քո խնդրեցի: Աղաղակեցի առ քեզ եւ փրկեա զիս. եւ պահեցից զվկայութիւնս քո: Կանխեցի տարաժամու` աղաղակեցի. եւ ես ի բանս քո յուսացայ: Կանխեցին աչք իմ առաւօտուց. ի խօսիլ ինձ զբանս քո: Ձայնի իմում լուր. Տէ՛ր. ըստ ողորմութեան քում. եւ յիրաւունս քո. կեցո՛ զիս: Մերձեցուցին յիս հալածիչք իմ զանօրէնութիւն. զի յօրինաց քոց հեռի եղեն: Մերձ ես դու. | 8:31 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts. Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. Choir: Fourth Wednesday. Holy Virgin Mary, golden vessel and tabernacle of the testaments, who from above brought the gift of the bread of life to the starving nature, intercede always with Him for the remission of our sins.
Fifth Wednesday. Ranks of incorporeal angels bless you, all- blessed Virgin Mary, who the bore the coexistent Word, who was with the father, without seed, intercede always with Him for the remission of our sins.
Sixth Wednesday. Thus we believers worship you, Christ, and with tears beseech you, that through the intercession of the Holy Mother of God to make your divine light shine upon us. We praise you King on the resurrection of that awe- inspiring evening.
Fourth Thursday. Apostles of God, chosen from the beginning, before the creation of the world. You, who were worthy to see what was unseen by the fiery spirits, intercede with the Lord for the children of the church.
Fifth Thursday. Friends of Christ, commanders of the divine counsels, who from the sea of sin took men up into immortal life, intercede with the Lord for the children of the church.
Sixth Thursday. Higher than nature, more blessed than words can convey, who shall sit on the twelve chairs of Christ at the second coming. Intercede with the Lord for the children of the church.
Fourth Friday. Guarding the paths to the garden where the tree of life is, the cherubic host with the fiery seraphim, today you show blazing on earth the wood of life and salvation divinely adorned. The children of the holy church bless you.
Fifth Friday. On the bush the ram of sacrifice, instead of Isaac, but upon you was sacrificed the spotless lamb for reconciliation with the Father and to take away our sins. The children of the holy church bless you.
Sixth Friday. Praised by Paul, who called you the divine place and sacrificial altar, for through you we were saved from the jaws and incorporeal beast by the drops of incorruptible blood shed upon you from his side, our sins were erased. The children of the holy church bless you.
Fourth Monday. Chosen flock of heaven, whom the good shepherd has left in heaven to look for the lost sheep, by which completing the hundred, caused him to rejoice with those in heaven, we pray you, be intercessors with the Lord for the remission of our sins.
Fifth Monday. Seers of the unseen, who know the profundity of God, who have descended with the Only- begotten as servants of providence, who announced the good news to the shepherd and preached message of life to the oil- bearing women, we pray you, be intercessors with the Lord for the remission of our sins.
Sixth Monday. Guardians of the world. Army of the Lord who surround the frightened, the friends of the race of man. Mediators of death and resurrection, Michael and Gabriel the great, who stand before the Holy Trinity always, we pray you, be intercessors with the Lord for the remission of our sins.
Fourth Tuesday. Heavenly groom, shadowless light revealed, who descended from heaven to your bride, the church, out of love. Of which you spoke with your friend and groomsman John, to him with prayers, have mercy.
Fifth Tuesday. With four images unreachable and invisible seraphim, holy of holies, Lord of All, who descended at the Jordan, and asking from your servant to be washed of the sin of Adam with the water of cleansing, to him with prayers, have mercy.
Sixth Tuesday. Who witnessed the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, who made known the most righteous through the greatest birth of woman and the torch of the law, and who in hell preached the salvation of your second coming, to him with prayers, have mercy:
