1:2 Լոյսդ որ յառաջ քան զյաւիտեանս ի Հօրէ առաքեցար եւ լուսով իմանալեաւ լցեր զարարածս. օրհնեալ ես, Թագաւոր յաւիտենից: Որ զլոյսն ի սկզբանէ հաստատեցեր վերստին. եւ զխաւարն անգիտութեան յարութեամբդ քո հալածեցեր. օրհնեալ ես, Թագաւոր յաւիտենից: Ուստի եւ մեք` լուսաւորեալքս ընդ լուսեղէն զուարթնոցն, երգեսցուք ցնծութեամբ ի յարութեան երեկոյիս. օրհնեալ ես, Թագաւոր յաւիտենից: Երկնաքաղաքացին Յովհաննէս մեծն ի ծնունդս կանանց քարոզէր յանապատի ազդարարող բարբառովն. զծագումն լուսոյ արեգականն արդարութեան:

You who reestablished the light from the beginning and banished the darkness of ignorance by your resurrection, Blessed are you King of eternity.
