15:1 Եւ կնքահայրն կանգնի մերձ յԱւազանն եւ քահանայն ասէ:
| 15:1 The godfather holding the baby in his arms stands next to the baptismal Font, facing the priest:
| 15:2 Քահանայ. ԱՂՕԹՔ. Որ կոչեցեր զծառայս քո, Տէր, ի սրբութիւն եւ ի լուսաւորութիւն Մկրտութեան, աղաչեմք զքեզ, արա՛ զսա արժանի մեծի շնորհաց քոց։ Փրկեա՛ ի սմանէ զհնութիւն մեղաց, եւ նորոգեա՛ ի կեանս նորս, եւ լցո՛ զօրութեամբ Հոգւոյդ Սրբոյ ի նորոգութիւն փառաց Քրիստոսի քոյ։ Եւ քեզ՝ հզօրիդ եւ միածնի Որդւոյ քոյ եւ ազատիչ սուրբ Հոգւոյդ վայելէ իշխանութիւն եւ պատիւ, այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն:
| 15:2 Priest: PRAYER. We beseech you, Lord, to call this your servant to the participation and enlightenment of the baptism. We beseech you, O Lord, to make this your servant worthy of your most precious grace whom you have called to the purification and enlightenment of the baptism. Cleanse him or her from old sins and renew him or her in a new life. Fill him or her with the power of the Holy Spirit so that he or she may have the renewal of the glory of your Christ. And to you, the Mighty One, and to your only- begotten Son and to the liberating Holy Spirit is befitting dominion and honor, now and always and for ever and ever. Amen:

| 15:4 Կնքահայրն ասէ. Հաւատք, Յոյս, Սէր եւ Մկրտութիւն։ Մկրտիլ եւ արդարանալ, սրբիլ ի մեղաց, ազատիլ ի դիւաց. եւ ծառայել Աստուծոյ։ Երիցս կրկնէ:
| 15:4 Godfather: Faith, hope, love and baptism. To be baptized and justified; to be cleansed of sins; to be freed from demons and to serve God. Repeat Thrice:
| 15:5 Քահանայ. Ըստ հաւատոց քոց եղիցի քեզ։ Ապա իջուցանէ զերախայն ի ջուրն ել դնէ զանունն ասելով. (Այս անուն) ծառայս Աստուծոյ, եկեալ յերախայութենէ ի Մկրտութիւն, մկրտի յանուն Հօր եւ Որդւոյ եւ Հոգւոյն Սրբոյ։ Գնեալ արեամբն Քրիստոսի ի ծառայութենէ մեղաց, ընդունի զորդեգրութիւն Հօրն երկնաւորի, լինել ժառանգակից Քրիստոսի, եւ տաճար Հոգւոյն Սրբոյ։ Զայս միանգամ ասելով` երիցս թաղէ զերախայն ի Ջուրն, յօրինակ երեքօրեայ թաղմանն Քրիստոսի: Իսկ արդ` յասելն Յանուն Հօր, ընկղմէ միանգամ. յասելն եւ Որդւոյ, ընկղմէ միանգամ եւս. եւ յասելն Հոգւոյն Սրբոյ ընկղմէ դարձեալ: Եւ այսպէս կոչումն անուան ամենասուրբ Երրորդութեան լինի միանգամ, եւ ընկղմումն երեք անգամ:
| 15:5 Priest: Be it unto you according to your faith. Then the Priest shall immerse the child three times into the water, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, saying only once the following invocation. ( name) the servant of God, coming from the state of catechumen to baptism, is now being baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Redeemed by the blood of Christ from the servitude of sin, he or she becomes an adopted child of the heavenly Father, a coheir with Christ and a temple of the Holy Spirit:
| 15:6 Եւ հանեալ ի ջրոյն` ասէ. Որք ի Քրիստոս մկրտեցայք, զՔրիստոս զգեցեալ էք. ալէլուիա։ Որք ի Հայր լուսաւորեցայք, Սուրբ Հոգին բերկրեսցի ի ձեզ. ալէլուիա։ Փառք Հօր եւ Որդւոյ եւ Հոգւոյն Սրբոյ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն:
| 15:6 Then taking the child out of the Font, shall say: Once you have been baptized to Christ, you have put on Christ. Alleluia. Once you have been enlightened in the Father, the Holy Spirit shall rejoice in you. Alleluia. Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and for ever and ever. Amen:
