24:4 Սարկաւագն. Երկիւղածութեամբ լուարուք:

24:5 Քահանայն. Սրբոյ աւետարանիս Յիսուսի Քրիստոսի որ ըստ Յովհաննու:
| 24:5 Priest: To the holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John:

24:6 Դպիրքն. Փառք քեզ ՏԷր Աստուած մեր:
| 24:6 Choir: Glory to you, O Lord our God:

24:7 Սարկաւագն. Պռօսխումէ:
| 24:7 Deacon: Be attentive:

24:8 Դպիրքն. Ասէ Աստուած:
| 24:8 Choir: God is speaking:

24:9 Քահանայն. Ի Հօրէ լուսոյ:
| 24:9 Priest: From the Father of Light:

24:10 Ի սկզբանէ էր Բանն եւ Բանն էր առ Աստուած, եւ Աստուած էր Բանն: Նա էր ի սկզբանէ առ Աստուած:
| 24:10 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God:

24:11 Ամենայն ինչ նովաւ եղեւ, եւ առանց նորա եղեւ եւ ոչինչ որ ինչ եղեւն: Նովաւ կեանք էր, եւ կեանքն էր լոյս մարդկան. եւ լոյսն ի խաւարի անդ լուսաւորէ եւ խաւար նմա ոչ եղեւ հասու:
| 24:11 All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. Through him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness and the darkness apprehended it not:

24:12 Եղեւ այր մի առաքեալ յԱստուծոյ` անուն նմա Յովհաննէս. սա եկն ի վկայութիւն զի վկայեսցէ վասն լուսոյն, զի ամենեքին հաւատասցեն նովաւ: Ոչ էր նա լոյսն, այլ զի վկայեսցէ վասն լուսոյն:
| 24:12 There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John. He came for a witness that he might bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light but he was the one to bear witness to the light:

24:13 Էր լոյսն ճշմարիտ` որ լուսաւոր առնէ զամենայն մարդ որ գալոց է յաշխարհ: Յաշխարհի էր, եւ աշխարհ նովաւ եղեւ, եւ աշխարհ զնա ոչ ծանեաւ:
| 24:13 That was the true light, which lightens every man that is to come into the world. He was in the world and the world was made through him and the world knew him not:

24:14 Յիւրսն եկն, եւ իւրքն զնա ոչ ընկալան: Իսկ որք ընկալանն զնա` ետ նոցա իշխանութիւն որդիս Աստուծոյ լինել, որոց հաւատասցեն յանուն նորա. ոյք ոչ յարենէ, եւ ոչ ի կամաց մարմնոյ եւ ոչ ի կամաց առն, այլ յԱստուծոյ ծնան:
| 24:14 He came to his own and those who were his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the children of God, even to those who believe in his name; who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of will of man, but of God:

24:15 Եւ Բանն մարմին եղեւ եւ բնակեաց ի մեզ. եւ տեսաք զփառս նորա, զփառս իբրեւ զՄիածնի առ ի Հօրէ, լի շնորհօք եւ ճշմարտութեամբ:
| 24:15 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the Only- begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth:

24:16 Սարկաւագն. Փառք քեզ, Տէր, Աստուած մեր: Սուրբ խաչիւս աղաչեսցուք զՏԷր, զի սովաւ փրկեսցէ զմեզ ի մեղաց եւ կեցուսցէ շնորհիւ ողորմութեան իւրոյ: Ամենակալ Տէր Աստուած մեր, կեցո եւ ողորմեա:
| 24:16 Deacon: Glory to you, O Lord our God. By the holy cross let us beseech the Lord, that through it he may deliver us from sins and save us by the grace of his mercy. Almighty Lord our God, save us and have mercy on us:

24:17 Քահանայն. Պահպանեա զմեզ, Քրիստոս Աստուած մեր, ընդ սուրբ եւ պատուական խաչիւդ քով ի խաղաղութեան. փրկեա յերեւելի եւ յաներեւոյթ թշնամւոյն. արժանաւորեա գոհութեամբ փառաւորել զքեզ ընդ Հօր եւ ընդ Հոգւոյդ Սրբոյ, այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն:
| 24:17 Priest: Guard us, O Christ our God, in peace under the shadow of your holy and venerable Cross. Deliver us from the enemy visible and invisible. Make us worthy to give you thanks and to glorify you together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen:
