19:1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho:
| 19:1 Եւ մտեալ շրջէր ընդ Երիքով:

19:2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich:
| 19:2 Եւ ահա այր մի անուն կոչեցեալ Զակքէոս, եւ նա էր մաքսապետ եւ ինքն մեծատուն:
|
19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature:
| 19:3 եւ խնդրէր տեսանել եթէ ով իցէ Յիսուս, եւ ոչ կարէր ի բազմութենէն, զի կարճ էր հասակաւ:
|
19:4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way:
| 19:4 Եւ ընթացեալ յառաջս` ել ի ժանտաթզենին զի տեսանիցէ զնա. քանզի ընդ այն իսկ անցանելոց էր:
|
19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house:
| 19:5 Իբրեւ եկն ի տեղին, հայեցաւ ի վեր Յիսուս եւ ասէ ցնա. Զակքէ, փութա էջ այտի, զի այսօր ի տան քում արժան է ինձ ագանել:

19:6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully:
| 19:6 Փութացաւ եւ էջ եւ ընկալաւ զնա ուրախութեամբ:
|
19:7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner:
| 19:7 Իբրեւ տեսին ամենեքին, տրտնջէին եւ ասէին թէ` Առ առն մեղաւորի եմուտ լուծանել:
|
19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold:
| 19:8 Եկն եկաց Զակքէոս եւ ասէ ցՏէր. Տէր, ահա զկէս ընչից իմոց տաց աղքատաց, եւ եթէ զոք զրկեցի, հատուցից չորեքկին:

19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham:
| 19:9 Եւ ասէ ցնա Յիսուս. Այսօր եղեւ փրկութիւն տանս այսմիկ. քանզի եւ սա որդի Աբրահամու է:
|
19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost:
| 19:10 Զի եկն Որդի մարդոյ խնդրել եւ կեցուցանել զկորուսեալն:
|
19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear:
| 19:11 Եւ մինչդեռ նոքա զայն լսէին, յաւել առակ մի եւ ասէ վասն մերձենալոյ նորա յԵրուսաղէմ, եւ համարելոյ նոցա եթէ առժամայն յայտնելոց է արքայութիւն Աստուծոյ:

19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return:
| 19:12 Ասէ. Այր ոմն ազնուական գնաց յաշխարհ հեռի առնուլ իւր թագաւորութիւն եւ դառնալ:
|
19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come:
| 19:13 Եւ կոչեցեալ զծառայս իւր` ետ նոցա տասն մնաս, եւ ասէ ցնոսա. Յարգեցէք զայդ մինչեւ եկից:
|
19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us:
| 19:14 Եւ քաղաքացիքն նորա ատէին զնա, առաքեցին հրեշտակս զկնի նորա, եւ ասեն թէ` Ոչ կամիմք թագաւորել դմա ի վերայ մեր:
|
19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading:
| 19:15 Եւ եղեւ դառնալ նմա առեալ զթագաւորութիւնն, եւ կոչեալ զծառայսն որոց տուեալ էր զարծաթն, զի գիտասցէ թէ ո՛ զինչ շահեցաւ:
|
19:16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds:
| 19:16 Եկն առաջինն եւ ասէ. Տէր, մնասն քո տասն մնաս արար:
|
19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities:
| 19:17 Եւ ասէ ցնա. Ազնի՛ւ, ծառայ բարի, զի ի փոքուդ հաւատարիմ եղեր, լիջիր իշխանութիւն ունել ի վերայ տասն քաղաքի:
|
19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds:
| 19:18 Եկն երկրորդն եւ ասէ. Մնասն քո արար հինգ մնաս:
|
19:19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities:
| 19:19 Ասէ եւ ցնա. Եւ դու լիջիր ի վերայ հինգ քաղաքաց:
|
19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
| 19:20 Եկն մեւսն եւ ասէ. Տէր, ահա մնասն քո զոր ունէի ծրարեալ ի վարշամակի:
|
19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow:
| 19:21 երկնչէի ի քէն, զի այր ստամբակ ես. բառնաս զոր ոչ եդիր, եւ հնձես զոր ոչ սերմանեցեր:
|
19:22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
| 19:22 Եւ ասէ ցնա. Ի բերանոյ քումմէ դատեցայց զքեզ, ծառայ անհաւատ. գիտէիր թէ ես այր մի ստամբակ եմ, բառնամ զոր ոչ եդի, հնձեմ ուր ոչ սերմանեցի:

19:23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury:
| 19:23 եւ ընդէ՞ր ոչ ետուր զարծաթն իմ ի սեղանաւորս, եւ եկեալ ես տոկոսեօք պահանջէի:
|
19:24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds:
| 19:24 Եւ ասէ ցսպասաւորսն. Առէք ի դմանէ զմնասն, եւ տարայք տուք այնմ որ ունիցի զտասն մնասն:
|
19:25 And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds:
| 19:25 Եւ ասեն ցնա. Տէր, ունի տասն մնաս:
|
19:26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him:
| 19:26 Ասեմ ձեզ եթէ` Ամենայնի որ ունիցի` տացի. եւ յայնմանէ որ ոչն ունիցի, եւ զոր ունիցին` բարձցի ի նմանէ:
|
19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me:
| 19:27 Բայց զթշնամիսն իմ զայնոսիկ որ ոչն կամէին զիս թագաւորել ի վերայ նոցա, ածէք այսր, եւ սպանէք առաջի իմ:
|
19:28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem:
| 19:28 Եւ իբրեւ զայս ասաց, գնաց յառաջ ելանել յԵրուսաղէմ:
|
19:29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples:
| 19:29 Եւ եղեւ իբրեւ մերձեցաւ ի Բեթփագէ եւ ի Բեթանիա մօտ ի լեառնն որ կոչի Ձիթենեաց, առաքեաց երկուս յաշակերտացն իւրոց եւ ասէ:
|
19:30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither:
| 19:30 Երթայք դուք ի գեղն որ հանդէպ մեր կայ. յոր իբրեւ մտանէք, գտանիցէք յաւանակ կապեալ, յորում ոք ի մարդկանէ երբեք ոչ նստաւ. լուծէք զնա եւ ածէք:

19:31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him:
| 19:31 Եւ եթէ ոք հարցանիցէ զձեզ թէ` Ընդէ՞ր լուծանէք, այսպէս ասասջիք ցնա, թէ` Տեառն իւրում պիտոյ է:
|
19:32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them:
| 19:32 Իբրեւ չոգան որ առաքեցանն, գտին որպէս ասացն ցնոսա, կայր յաւանակն:
|
19:33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt:
| 19:33 Եւ մինչդեռ լուծանէին զյաւանակն, ասեն տեարքն նորա ցնոսա. Զի՞ լուծանէք զյաւանակդ:
|
19:34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him:
| 19:34 Եւ նոքա ասեն. Տեառն իւրում պիտոյ է:
|
19:35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon:
| 19:35 Եւ ածին զնա առ Յիսուս, եւ արկին զնովաւ հանդերձս եւ հեծուցին զՅիսուս:
|
19:36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way:
| 19:36 Եւ մինչդեռ երթայր, զհանդերձս իւրեանց տարածանէին զճանապարհաւն:
|
19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen:
| 19:37 Եւ իբրեւ այն ինչ մերձ եղեւ ի զառ ի վայր լերինն Ձիթենեաց, սկսաւ ամենայն բազմութիւն աշակերտացն ուրախութեամբ օրհնել զԱստուած ի ձայն մեծ վասն ամենայն եղելոց զօրութեանցն զոր տեսին:

19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest:
| 19:38 եւ ասէին. Օրհնեալ որ գայ թագաւորդ յանուն Տեառն. խաղաղութիւն յերկինս եւ փառք ի բարձունս:
|
19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples:
| 19:39 Եւ ոմանք ի փարիսեցւոցն յամբոխէ անտի ասեն ցնա. Վարդապետ, սաստեա աշակերտացդ քոց:
|
19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out:
| 19:40 Պատասխանի ետ եւ ասէ. Ասեմ ձեզ զի եթէ դոքա լռեսցեն, քարինքդ աղաղակեսցեն:
|
19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it:
| 19:41 Եւ իբրեւ մերձեցաւ, տեսեալ զքաղաքն` ելաց ի վերայ նորա, եւ ասէ:
|
19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes:
| 19:42 Եթէ գիտէիր դու գոնէ յաւուրս յայսմիկ զխաղաղութիւնն քո. բայց այժմ ծածկեցաւ յերեսաց քոց:
|
19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side:
| 19:43 Զի եկեսցեն աւուրք ի վերայ քո, եւ պատեսցեն զքեւ թշնամիք քո պատնէշ, եւ պաշարեսցեն զքեզ, եւ նեղեսցեն զքեզ յամենայն կողմանց:
|
19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation:
| 19:44 եւ յատակեսցեն զքեզ եւ զորդիս քո ի քեզ. եւ ոչ թողուցուն քար ի քարի վերայ յամենայն ի քեզ, փոխանակ զի ոչ ծանեար զժամանակ այցելութեան քո:

19:45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought:
| 19:45 Եւ մտեալ ի տաճարն սկսաւ հանել զաղաւնէվաճառսն եւ զգնողս, եւ զսեղանս հատավաճառացն ցրուեաց:
|
19:46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves:
| 19:46 Եւ ասէ ցնոսա. Գրեալ է. Եւ եղիցի տուն իմ տուն աղօթից, եւ դուք արարէք զդա այրս աւազակաց:
|
19:47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him:
| 19:47 Եւ ուսուցանէր զնոսա հանապազ ի տաճարին. իսկ քահանայապետքն եւ դպիրք եւ գլխաւորք ժողովրդեանն խնդրէին զնա կորուսանել:
|
19:48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him:
| 19:48 եւ ոչ գտանէին թէ զինչ արասցեն, զի ժողովուրդն ամենայն կախեալ կային զնմանէ ի լսել:
