Western Armenian largely used in the part of Armenia west of Mt. Ararat (and subsequently through out most of the Middle East, other than Iran and India, and the post-Genocide generation in the Europe and the Americas)<\/p>\n

Since the Armenian language is distantly related to English, you may recognize words or parts of words. These are known as cognates. For many people, recognizing cognates helps accelerate acquisition of a foreign language. If you find them helpful, cognates are listed and marked in with the cognate key in the “Get to the Root of It!” materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n3. Practice recalling the words and phrases you’ve learned with the on-line drills, printable worksheets, and on-line flashcards
\n4. If you find them useful, review the cognates to reinforce the words you’ve learned.
