Letter Look Alikes

These three Armenian letters look and sound like their Greek equivalents. You may have come across them in math class or fraternity or sorority names: phi theta chi (actually phi theta chi is the name of a US nationwide sorority).

Philip = Arm. Pilipos Փիլիպոս (pronounced hard [p] in Armenian, as in Peter)
Thaddeus = Arm. Tateos Թադէոս (pronounced hard [t] in Armenian, as in Thomas)
Christ = Arm. Krisdos Քրիստոս (pronounced hard [k] in Armenian, as in Christ)
