5:1 Եւ ՛ի վերայ ընչից քոց մի՛ ծանրանար:
| 5:1 Set thy heart upon thy goods; and say not, I have enough for my life:

5:2 Մի՛ երթար զհետ անձին եւ զօրութեան քո, եւ մի՛ հպարտանար ՛ի գանձս քո: Մի՛ լինիր յանձնապաստան` եւ ասեր, եթէ բազում են ինչք իմ:
| 5:2 Follow not thine own mind and thy strength, to walk in the ways of thy heart:

5:3 Մի՛ ասեր, թէ չար ինձ ո՞վ առնէ, զի Տէր խնդրեսցէ զվրէժս ՛ի քէն:
| 5:3 And say not, Who shall controul me for my works? for the Lord will surely revenge thy pride:
|
5:4 Մի՛ ասեր, թէ չար գործելով մեղայ, արդ զի՞նչ եղեւ ինձ. զի Տէր երկայնամիտ է:
| 5:4 Say not, I have sinned, and what harm hath happened unto me? for the Lord is longsuffering, he will in no wise let thee go:

5:5 վասն դարձի քո եւ քաւութեան:
| 5:5 Concerning propitiation, be not without fear to add sin unto sin:
|
5:7 զի ողորմութիւն եւ բարկութիւն ՛ի ձեռին նորա է, եւ ՛ի մեղաւորս յագեցուցանէ զսրտմտութիւն իւր[21]:
| 5:6 And say not His mercy is great; he will be pacified for the multitude of my sins: for mercy and wrath come from him, and his indignation resteth upon sinners:

5:8 Ո՛րդեակ` մի՛ յապաղիցես դառնալ ՛ի մեղաց առ Տէր[22]:
| 5:7 Make no tarrying to turn to the Lord:
|
5:9 զի մի առ մեղս քո սատակիցիս[23]:
| 5:9 KJV [7] and put not off from day to day: for suddenly shall the wrath of the Lord come forth, and in thy security thou shalt be destroyed, and perish in the day of vengeance:

5:10 Մի՛ յանիրաւ գանձս յուսար, զի ո՛չ օգնեսցեն քեզ յաւուր բարկութեան:

5:13 Լե՛ր դու երագ լսելեօք, եւ երկայնամիտ ՛ի պատասխանիս:

5:14 Եթէ իմաստութիւն եկեսցէ ՛ի քեզ` տո՛ւր պատասխանի ընկերին քում, ապա թէ ոչ` ափիբերան լիցիս:
